What factors does the court consider when making orders in relation to children?

Every case is considered individually before the Turkish Courts. The most essential consideration is what will be of benefit to the child. The age, gender, activities, psychology, health development, and whether the child has a chronic illness or is afflicted by a condition are considered. The legislator has established the framework for deciding on the relation; however, it is the Judge who sets the relation between parents and the child, after consideration of what will most benefit the child.
