A new public announcement was published on 19.10.2022 about the residence permit applications of foreigners in Istanbul by the Ministry of Interior, Directorate of Migration Management. Regarding this announcement, New Restrictions are made on residence permit.
In this matter;
Regarding residence permit applications made by showing the Address in Avcılar, Bahçelievler, Bağcılar, Başakşehir, Esenler, Esenyurt, Fatih, Küçükçekmece, Sultangazi and Zeytinburnu districts in the province of Istanbul;
1. Applications of Turkish citizens and family members of Blue Card holders as defined in Code No. 6458,
2. Applications of family members defined in Code No. 6458 of foreigners with residence permits registered in the mentioned districts,
3. Foreigners who have a real estate presale agreement before the restriction date and acquire title deed after the restriction date, provided that the real estate is located in the counted districts, foreigners who have a house deed in the mentioned district before the restriction date and applied for a residence permit for the first time after the restriction date and their family members as defined in the Code No. 6458, within the scope of Article 31/1 (b) of the aforementioned Code (for real estate purposes),
4. Applications within the scope of clause 31/1 (f) of Code No. 6458 (who will be treated) by foreigners who receive inpatient treatment and give their hospital address as their residence address,
5. Applications of foreigners within the scope of subparagraph 31/1 (j) of Code No. 6458 and their family members defined in the said Code,
6. Residence permit applications of students registered in universities in the counted districts or in institutes/faculties/colleges of universities in these districts,
7. Residence permit transition applications or extension applications to be made within the legal period in order to change the type of active residence permit in the counted districts,
Except for the conditions listed above, the first residence permit applications made as of 20.10.2022 will not be accepted.
