A framework for how to deal with the existence of foreign proceedings is not set in the Turkish Jurisdiction. According to the common practice of the Turkish Court of Cassation; an objection made to the Turkish Court on the grounds of the existence of foreign proceedings is sustained if a decision which will be given by the foreign court fulfils the conditions of recognition and enforcement. If Turkish Courts have the absolute jurisdiction about the situation brought before Turkish Court, it will continue the proceedings. However, if a petition is submitted and the jurisdiction is not objected to, the proceedings continue before Turkish Courts.
